Applied for internships, didn't get any. My grandpa passed away . Started my "new position" at my transfer location - which has currently proven to have been one of the best decisions I've made since going back to school...
I've caved and started a tumblr, Pinterest, and an artist page on Facebook, so please check them out! I intend on having them link back to my dA profile using teaser photos especially when I post new work here!
The semester ended. Ran the ToughMudder in Mansfield, OH on April 27, as an early "golden birthday" present to myself. After passing out that night and driving back home the next morning, I returned to work and school energized, ready to take on the world, and get back to getting stuff done!
I had hoped kicking off this new year and new decade with such a bang would turn out to bring a lot of good and new adventures...
...but the gods seem to have something else in store for me this year.
Got rear ended by some idiot two weeks after the semester ended.
Had to pass on SFAL!2 this year, I got sick again - a little worse than last year. After a slew of doctor's appointments, etc etc etc that span the next months; the long and short of this is while I am not yet done with all the testing and labwork I have some answers that state simply put, that I have a serious food allergy, and that I have been sick for pretty much the enitre time I've been back in school.
This news is shaking me hard as it pretty much changes my lifestyle amongst other things. But my doctors are confident thus far, so I'm trying to hold onto that and keep my head clear from dwelling on it while we wait for the upcoming tests and their results.
My fiance returned home after two-years of interning. We found an apartment and moved back in together. Got rid of lots of what we had in storage, either for donation or garbage - as in over 75% of what we had! It's turnly amazing how one feels after removing that much clutter from their lives.
We're all moved in to our new place now, and just about organized too. (First time I've lived in a new city in nearly 20 years)
Not much has happened this month yet, other than more medical stuff. Doesn't mean there isn't time for something to come up!
Well that about covers it, a "bullet" for each of the months since my last post. And while I realize I need to be more active here from the length and subsequent "drafting and omitting" of this entry, I've got a few projects/side-projects in the mix right now, including game development artwork for an app that will utilize DICE+, and stuff to post yet from past semesters. I know I say it a lot, but stay tuned. As I need to be keeping myself busy, I just might start annoying people with how much I'm about to start posting!! One can hope, if the past has been any indication thus far...
